Musical Theatre Showcase - July 10 - 28 from 12:00pm to 6:45pm
This program is designed for teens in high school with prior musical theatre training and performance experience who are committed to deepening their skills as actors, singers and dancers. Through voice, dance, and character work, students will explore a variety of musical theatre styles and techniques deepening their knowledge and understanding of their craft. This program culminates in a musical theatre showcase at 8pm on the final Friday of the program on the WFT mainstage.
Theatre On Tour: Dragons Love Tacos - July 31 - August 18 from 12:00pm to 6:30pm
This program gives experienced teen performers the opportunity to rehearse, tour and perform a show for the most discerning of audiences, children! For the first two weeks, actors rehearse the play Dragons Love Tacos, a fun and physical production then take the show on tour, performing for children and their families at The Boston Children’s Museum. This program will challenge experienced actors in creating performances that not only entertain but educate the next generation of theatre goers. Students will learn first hand what it takes to create a traveling theatre piece. Performances daily at the Boston Children’s Museum July 29-Aug 2 with final performance at WFT on Aug.18. TBD
Advance Performance Intensive - July 31 - August 18 from 12:00pm to 6:45pm
This program is designed for teens in high school with prior training and performance experience committed to deepening their acting skills and knowledge of the craft. Through challenging exercises in vocal, movement, and character work and exploration of scenes from outstanding plays, students will experience the actor’s process in depth. his program culminates in an acting showcase at 8pm on the final Friday of the program on the WFT mainstage.
