Quantum Computing Workshop | SFU CSSS
Are you interested in Quantum Computing, Quantum Computers, or how Quantum Physics might tie into CS? Do you not know where to start learning?

Then join us Monday, November 20th, from 5:00-9:00PM in TASC1 9204, to learn everything about Quantum Computing!

Taught by a PhD student in Quantum Computing, you will learn:
  • The history of Quantum Physics and how Quantum Computing began
  • The mathematics behind Quantum Computing (basic knowledge in Linear Algebra is recommended!)
  • How to write programs for Quantum Computers in Python
A tutorial on running your programs on real IBM Quantum Computers will be given, too!

To best enjoy this workshop, please bring:
  • A pencil or pen for writing notes
  • A laptop (Windows, MacOS, and Linux will work)
  • An eagerness to learn!
Skeleton notes will be provided, allowing you to take home what you learn.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Best, CSSS.
