The following electives are now available for students going into 8th Grade:

1) Introduction to Cyber Security

Year-Round Course / $10 Fee

Technology is everywhere, whether we like it or not! Knowing how to interact with it safely is extremely important. Intro to Cyber Security introduces students to general computer fundamentals and networking,
incorporating safety, ethics, and history as important tools for preparing students for a future in technology. Students in this course also have the opportunity to participate in a nationwide cyber security competition called
US Cyberpatriot (Registration fees may apply).


2) Introduction to Programming

18-Week (Semester) Course / $10 Fee

From smartphone apps to microwave ovens, code is popping up everywhere! Almost all modern devices that use electricity use code to automate and help make life easy! Intro to Programming introduces students to the basics of computer programming using several programming languages and programmable devices. Covers basics of website, app, and game development.

Please note that this form will be used to place students in electives as seats become available. If
there are no remaining seats for the class a student requests, they must register for another elective
course. Fees will be collected when the student begins the course.
