Engagement Panel: Expression of Interest
Our new organisation is placing residents at the heart of everything we do. An important part of this is our Engagement Panel, set up to monitor how well we are doing, shape future services and discuss policies and plans with us. Any tenant, shared owner or leaseholder can apply to become a member.
This is a great opportunity not just to have your say but to gain new skills and experiences.

We are looking for people who:
• Have the life skills and experience to join the Panel.
• Are prepared to put the time and effort into Panel activities.
• Are committed to equality and diversity.

The timetable for setting the Panel up is:

27/02/21 - Invitation issued to express an interest in Panel membership
22/03/21 - Deadline for expressions of interest and informal chats held
24/03/21 - Taster session for everyone interested in joining the Panel
25/03/21 - Selection of Panel Members  
27/04/21 - First meeting of the Panel

In 2021 we will be looking at:
• The promises made to our customers
• Rents and Service Charges
• The Repairs Service
• Other priorities decided by the Panel as important for residents

Everyone whatever age has experience in life. Volunteering in the community, caring for relatives or managing a household – all of these require skills that can be applied to work of the Panel. Many people also have work experience or have gained qualifications that can be useful to the Panel.
What do you think about the work of the Panel? *
The sort of things panel members will do includes attending  regular meetings, keep informed about the work of the Panel, prepare well for meetings and contribute to discussions. They are also here to make sure that everyone has an equal chance and support to get involved.
What would help you take part? *
We will support you to be part of the Panel. This will include covering all legitimate expenses, helping with access to technology, providing training and mentoring. What support would help you take part?
Do you have any other support needs that we could help with so that you could take part? *
We will be holding an online ‘Taster Session’ on Wednesday 24th March 2021 – does this work for you and if not are there alternatives that would?
