Recruiting and Hiring Deaf and Hard of Hearing Employees - ADA Compliance and Facilitating Communication Success For Your Team
Human Resource personnel and hiring managers of businesses of all sizes are especially encouraged to attend this free workshop that will include employers’ responsibilities under the ADA, a demonstration of current hearing assistive technologies, how to be accessible and inclusive, and best communication strategies in the workplace for deaf and hard of hearing employees. How to request an interpreter will also be discussed as well as myths and truths about deafness and hearing loss. An optional tour of NVRC’s device demonstration room will follow the program.
