Campbell Parents’ Participation Preschool is a parent-run school with everyone sharing the workload. Each family at the school is required to choose a committee to work on for the school year. Please rank your interest in working on the following committees, numbering your choices (1-5) in order of your preference. A willingness to learn and do your best for our school and the children is more important than specialized training. Committee Chairs/Board members listed with committee members reporting to them. A general description of the work and job responsibilities follows.
President - (2 Committee members needed) Members on this committee will assist with representing our school in the SCVC Parent Participation Preschool organization. Alumni person is our handbook and By Law specialist. *
Vice President - (1 Committee member needed) This committee member will assist the VP in tracking the completion of support jobs, attendance and filling in where needed as a substitute. *
Secretary - (3 Committee members needed) Committee members support the Secretary, maintain e-mail lists, and create the bimonthly school newsletter. Webmaster is responsible for the school website and notices to the school via email. *
Treasurer - (3 Committee members needed) Committee members assist the Treasurer with the financial aspects of the school. Budgeting, accounts receivable, tracking and collecting tuition payments, scrip income, deposits and purchases along with other business related items. Oversees the order and supplies in the school office. *
Membership - (8 Committee members needed) Members assist with Public Relations, collecting paperwork from incoming members, assist new families in orientating them to the school, giving tours and fielding any questions prospective members might have. All members help with the Open House. Strong communication skills required. *
Class Coordinators - (1 member needed in 2’s & 3’s class, 2 members needed in 4’s class.) Art Assistant’s for each class will assist the class coordinator as needed. Each art assistant will prep any materials that the teacher might need done for the class. Will also need to keep the class bulletin board current with examples of the class art work, pictures from field trips and activities, etc. *
Fundraising - (8 Committee members needed) Assist the fundraising chairperson to raise funds for the school. Includes the coordination of the silent auction/large fundraising event and 2 smaller events, write letters soliciting donations, sell raffle tickets for the parking spot and keep the fundraising shed in the front of the school tidy. Social coordinator will get volunteers to bring refreshments to Parent Ed meetings and maintain a list of school alumni. Scrip coordinator will assist in getting all families registered for eScrip and track all paper scrip needs and sales. *
Maintenance - (8 Committee members needed) Responsible for hosting a designated number of Saturday maintenance work days. Responsible for special projects and overall responsibility for the school’s cleaning, safety and maintenance. *
Education Coordinator - (13 Committee members needed) Committee members are responsible for different curriculum supporting areas of the school. Examples include the Scholastic Book club, school bulletin boards, assorted children’s play areas within the school, keeping storage sheds neat and in order, pets and playdough. *
