Promise of Passover 2023 Audition Form
THE PROMISE has scheduled an adaptation of their long running musical to be presented over two weekends in March and April. THE PROMISE OF PASSOVER is based on the original musical production that has been running in Glen Rose for 34 years, but this Spring, the focus will be on Passion Week, and the last days of Jesus.

Show dates are March 31, April 1, Sunday April 2 (5:00pm), April 7 and April 8

SOLOISTS: Please prepare 60-90 seconds (or 32 bars) of a song from Musical Theatre repertoire and a 60-90 second monologue. The song selection should demonstrate engaged storytelling performed with proficient pitch, tone, diction and vocal clarity. The monologue selection should demonstrate a connection to the character’s emotional life, clear physical choices and a solid understanding of the text. It is preferred that you sing with an accompaniment track. Tracks can be emailed to jamie@thepromiseglenrose.com. We will have a sound system available for playback.

NON-SINGING ROLES: We DO accept cast members who are not soloists, but keep in mind, all cast members participate in the larger musical ensemble scenes. Prepare a monologue 60-90 seconds in length. Monologues should demonstrate a connection to the character's emotional life, vocal clarity, clear physical choices, and a solid understanding of the text. It is recommended that you choose age-appropriate material for which you feel a personal connection.
