 Info about Confirmation
What is the meaning of Sacrament of Confirmation?

In the Sacrament of Confirmation, the Holy Spirit completes the grace of baptism and offers the newly confirmed strength as a true witness of Christ. Thus, the newly confirmed is “more strictly obliged to spread and defend the faith by word and deed” (cf. CCC, 1285).

Why do we need to be confirmed?

The Sacrament of Confirmation helps a person remain faithful to his or her baptismal commitment to witness to Christ and to serve others. The gifts of the Holy Spirit associated with Confirmation are strengths (or virtues)

HOW IS IT DONE?

By reflecting upon the experience of our lives, scripture, and the teachings of the Catholic Church. Confirmation consists of a prayer to the Holy Spirit, the laying on of hands while the prayer is said and the anointing of the candidate with oil of Chrism by the Archbishop or Bishop and/or delegated Priest.

WHEN DOES IT BEGIN AND END?

Registration Begins in December and Ends February 22. Classes are 15 weeks long.

Classes begin on Sundays in Late February Early March and continues on every Sunday at 10 am until Saturday, May 2024 at 6pm with Mass with either Archbishop Gustavo Garcia-Siller or Bishop Gary Janek or bishop Michael Boulette
