Our focus for 2019 - 2020 is on shared leadership looking at the integration of social, emotional, and academic development (SEAD): inclusive pedagogy and practices for all mathematics learning. How do schools create highest quality instruction that is differentiated and responsive to diverse students and provides appropriate support for both accelerated academic success and socially effective behavior? EdCamp goals include:
           Collaborate with other mathematics educators and leaders in Vermont.
           Develop and strengthen shared leadership in mathematics education in your systems.
           Promote equitable access to high levels of learning for all students.

The sessions are organized as EdCamps, built around these and other critical topics as they emerge.  Here is a brief description of the Edcamp structure for those who haven’t yet had the opportunity to participate in one:

EdCamp has an agenda where the sessions' content is created by the participants at the start of the event. People are encouraged to have discussions and hands-on sessions.  Built on principles of connected and participatory learning, EdCamp strives to bring educators together to talk about the things that matter most to them: their interests, passions, and questions.  EdCamp attendees can choose to lead sessions on those things that matter, with an expectation that the people in the room will work together to build understanding by sharing their own knowledge and questions.
The registration process will ask participants:
                       •Topics they would like to discuss at the EdCamp;
                       •Experiences and/or artifacts they would like to share with colleagues;

An EdCamp Facilitator will “kick off” each day with a focused presentation aligned with a topic of importance to participants.  This will be followed by the organic creation of the session topics, around which facilitated discussions will occur.

Please complete the following to register for the Tuesday, May 5 or Thursday, May y EdCamp session.
