Facilitation Skills for Sustainability Action
A workshop designed to engage, inspire and empower our students who have environmental leadership roles in schools.
Date: 20th February 2020
Time: 9:00am - 3:00pm
Venue: REAP Wairarapa, 340 Queen Street, Masterton
Cost: $50 per school total with a limit of up to three students attending, Lunch and refreshments provided
Who for: Year 11-13 students who are wanting to make a difference to and take action for the Environment. This could be students who are leading, or will be leading in 2020 in the environmental space.
Facilitators: Chloe Bisley-Wright (Enviroschools) and Belle Willemstein (youth facilitator)
This interactive and fun workshop and fosters a safe space for student leaders to practice their facilitation skills.
Students will have the opportunity to connect with like-minded young people, learn how to engage their school community and make an impact. Students will develop self-care techniques to sustain their passion and understand the importance of reflection and celebration.
Brief draft outline for the day:
9:00am - 10:00am Whanaungatanga / Identifying what is happening
10:00am - 11:00am Hearing from other schools
11:00am-12:00 Small group break outs where participants select two skill workshops.
12:00pm - 12:30pm Lunch
12:30pm - 1:30pm Workshop 2
1:30pm - 3:00pm Sustaining self, Reflection, Next Steps and Celebration
