Beit Midrash for Jewish Thought Barcelona offers an annual program for the study of Jewish thought, from ancient times to the present. Beit Midrash (in Hebrew: House of study) is the traditional Jewish place of learning, a practice that in Jewish-culture, is in itself a religious commandment.The study will be conducted using traditional Jewish study methodologies and through an interpretive encounter with canonical and masterpiece texts of the “Jewish Bookshelf”: Bible, Talmud, Philosophy, Theology, Kabbalah, Hasidut, Modern and Contemporary thought.

Course Fees: We are delighted to offer the course at a competitive participation fee of 220€. This fee covers the entire course, including all course materials and amenities provided during the program. Also, this semester will be longer than previous ones, consisting of 16 sessions, a 3-day Kabbalah workshop in Girona, extra activities for Jewish holidays (Purim, Pesach, Shabbat) and the creation of a collaborative Jewish Book Club. Within a couple of days after submitting your application, we will reach out to you with further instructions regarding the payment process.
Study sessions will be held on Thursdays, 18:00-20:00 at Casa Adret in the old Jewish quarter of Barcelona (C/ de Salomó ben Adret, 6)*. The first study session will take place on February 1st.
