2nd Annual Community Yacunne (Fish) Camp
The Community Yacunne (fish) Camp brings the family together to learn the science of fishing. We are excited to incorporate our Waccon language into the programs title.  Yacunne (pronounced: Ya-Chu-Ne) means fish in Waccon. The program will be held at the 211 Pecan Bass Ponds in our tribal community and is open to the public. All activities will accommodate health protocols and spacing needs due to COVID-19.

You will choose the date and time you would like to attend at the end of the registration form.

A welcome packet will be emailed to you following your registration to the event. A Liability Waiver, COVID-19 Waiver and Photo/Video Release must be signed to participate in the activities. This program is sponsored by the following organizations: Waccamaw Siouan Tribe, Waccamaw Siouan STEM Studio, National Parks Foundation, Island Wildlife, Cape Fear River Assembly, NC Fish and Wildlife Resources Commission and Lower Cape Fear YWCA.
