BASICS

When? from 12th to 19th July 2024 (Arrival and departure days)

Who? 3-4 youth workers, monitors (+ 18 years old), from each country: Italy, Portugal, Macedonia, Netherland, Romania and Spain. 
We expect youth workers, monitors, volunteers working with youths/kids/adults that would like to share with them knowledges in tradicional trades through practical workshops.

Where? Obón (Teruel), Spain

Costs? Accommodation and meals are covered by Erasmus +. 
Travel costs are cover up to the limit: 

* Standard travel   ----->  by plane
    395 € / participant from Romania and Macedonia
    309 €/ participant from Portugal, Netherlands & Italy
    150 €/ participant from Spain

* Green travel -----> travelling by land: bus, train, shared car. Also accomodation and food covered!
    535 €/ participant from Romania and Greece
    417 €/ participant from Portugal, Netherlands & Italy
    150 €/ participant from Spain

SUMMARY

In this Training Course "Reviving the Art of Tradicional Trades" youth workers will acquire techniques, skills and knowledge about some tradicional trades, sucha as pottery, basketry and bookbinding. 
It will be based on practical workshops and sessions:
  • Knowledge of tradicional techniques.
  • Practical workshops to improve your creativity and personal skills.
  • Sharing your local trades with others
  • Recovering the local and traditional Journey for Lavender essential oil distillation
The methodology of the course will be based on horizontal self-training, working groups, practical and outdoor activities with the contribution of experts in the different arts, collaborating organizations and participants.
