Mental Health First Aid Officers, in the same way they have First Aid Officers.
Mental Health First Aid Aotearoa is an internationally recognised and accredited programme. Join over 4 million+ people globally who have already become MH First Aiders. The accreditation is against the individual and not the organisation and is valid for 3 years. On completion of the course a certificate is provided and the comfort that your MHFA skills can be used within business, personal and community.

- Self learning component followed by instructor led video training
- Minimum 6 participants (max 12)
Process
- Complete this application form and pay the deposit needed.
- A link to complete the Initial self learning component will be sent as well as MHFA course manual
- Log in to Te Pou and undertake self-learning (~5-7hours)
- Submit completion certificate to instructor at least 1 day before the supervised online sessions
- Attend 2 x ~3hour online training sessions and ensure full participation provided
- Facilitator will mark as attendance complete and you will need to complete evaluation to receive certificate of attendance, complete final online test and receive accreditation
