Thank you for your interest in joining the TikTok Cultures Research Network. This Network was founded in October 2020 by Prof Crystal Abidin and is housed at Curtin University. This membership recruitment drive is being managed by TCRN Research Assistant Kristen Halkett. We are a group of Asia Pacific-based interdisciplinary scholars who are studying TikTok cultures from a variety of qualitative research methodologies.

We are in the process of expanding our Network from the Asia Pacific to other regions, and are seeking Expressions of Interest for Global Network Members. Scholars who are actively researching TikTok via qualitative approaches with a focus on socio-cultural issues are warmly welcome to apply. We especially look forward to scholars who work with and in non-English languages.

In this form, we ask you to provide brief contact details, information on your current TikTok research projects, the languages in which you share or publish your research, and any citations of your work you would like us to include in our TikTok Bibliography. Your contact details will be kept confidential, and will only be accessed by TCRN Founder Prof Crystal Abidin and Research Assistant Kristen Halkett.
