2023-2024 UTM BCM Leadership Team Application (PLEASE READ EVERYTHING BEFORE COMPLETING)
Thank you for your interest in SERVING on the UT Martin BCM LEADERSHIP TEAM.  The information below is VERY DETAILED and VERY IMPORTANT to understand the STRUCTURE and EXPECTATIONS for every Leadership position.  If you have questions, don't hesitate to contact us at utmbcm@gmail.com.

DEADLINE TO APPLY FOR UTM BCM LEADERSHIP IS MARCH 3 at MIDNIGHT.

     ***EACH LEADERSHIP TEAM HAS A TEAM LEADER. PLEASE CONSIDER THE POSSIBILITY OF SERVING AS A TEAM LEADER. YOU WILL BE ASKED DURING THE INTERVIEW.

HERE ARE THE TEAMS YOU CAN APPLY FOR:


******UPREACH GROUP Led by the BCM President******

             -WORSHIP TEAM---shall be responsible for planning, organizing, and holding worship events. Their responsibilities shall include (but are not limited to) securing a location for worship, planning speakers, organizing a student worship band, and providing a time and atmosphere of worship.

             -COMMUNICATION TEAM---shall be responsible for working with other leadership ministry teams to promote the BCM and BCM events over social media.  Responsibilities shall include (but are not limited to) maintaining Social Media accounts (Instragram, Facebook, Orgsync), weekly email announcements, the BCM website, the BCM bulletin boards, making announcements at applicable BCM events, and making an effort to advertise on campus.

******OUTREACH GROUP Led by the BCM Vice-President******

             -NOONDAY TEAM---shall be responsible for planning, preparing for, and offering a meal for the campus community. Their responsibilities shall include (but are not limited to) scheduling churches to provide the meal, spreading the meal and setting up tables, and cleaning up after the meal.

             -OUTREACH TEAM---shall be responsible for spearheading the outreach efforts of the ministry. Their responsibilities shall include (but are not limited to) organizing events and personal efforts to share the love of Christ with other students on campus.

******INREACH GROUP Led by the BCM Secretary******

             -FELLOWSHIP TEAM---shall be responsible for planning, organizing, and holding events to allow students to fellowship. Their responsibilities shall include (but are not limited to) cooking, decorating, and preparing for events, creating a hospitable atmosphere for students to build relationships with one another, and cleaning up after events.

             -Radiant Leader (Women's Discipleship)---shall be responsible for organizing of Radiant LifeGroup Leaders and Radiant Meetings each week.  The Radiant Leader meets with Radiant LifeGroup Leaders during the week. The Radiant Leader works with the BCM Campus Minister to decide on a direction and to secure speakers for the semester. The Radiant Leader will lead the Radiant LifeGroup Leaders meeting before the weekly Radiant event. The Radiant Leader will oversee any extra Radiant events that may be planned for the school year.

             -ManUP Leader (Men's Discipleship)---shall be responsible for organizing of ManUp LifeGroup Leaders and ManUp Meetings each week.  The ManUp Leader meets with ManUp LifeGroup Leaders during the week. The ManUp Leader works with the BCM Campus Minister to decide on a direction and to secure speakers for the semester. The ManUp Leader will lead the ManUp LifeGroup Leaders meeting before the weekly ManUp event. The ManUp Leader will oversee any extra ManUp events that may be planned for the school year.

      ***The BCM LEADERSHIP TEAM meets on the following monthly schedule:
            -Week 1:  Executive Leadership Team Meets with Team Leaders
            -Week 2:  Individual Teams Meet to Plan
            -Week 3:  Executive Leadership Team Meets
            -Week 4: THE WHOLE LEADERSHIP TEAM



EXPECTATIONS FOR THE UTM BCM LEADERSHIP TEAM:

                  1.  Maintain a consistent devotional life and pray regularly for all phases of the
                             BCM ministry.
                  2.    Live a LIFE ABOVE REPROACH so that you do not serve as a stumbling block
                             in someone else's faith (Please Read Romans 14:13 and 1 Timothy 3:1-3)
                  3. Sense God’s call to serve as a Leader in the BCM
                  4.   Be an active participant in a church while a student
                  5.  Attend all leader development and planning meetings which include
                                *Spring Leadership Conference (Lebanon, TN, March 31-April 1)
                                *UT Martin BCM Leadership Calendar Planning (APRIL)
                                *Collegiate Week (Davis, OK)-August 6-10, 2023
                                *BCM Survival for Incoming Students, August 13-16, 2023 @ UTM BCM
                  6.   Encourage Team leaders by attending BCM events throughout the school year
                  7.   Attend the BCM Fall and Winter Retreat Events
                  8.   Participate in at least one (1) UTM BCM Mission trip
