WHO CAN APPLY
This is a scholarship based on good merit and financial need. It is open to individuals that have a passion for personal growth, community service and a strong inclination towards community, team, and/or social work. The intention of this scholarship is to put forth passionate and experienced individuals into a role of empowered and authentic leadership.
Community Leaders - if you are actively leading an Authentic Relating, Circling, or other community of social benefit (without significant financial return), we may award you a partial scholarship in recognition of the good you put into the world.
Candidates must display: (a) existing work experience in humanitarian/social/community service work, and (b) a willingness to fulfill all Post-Training commitments with Authentic Revolution.
SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLEPARTIAL SCHOLARSHIP: Covers from 10% up to 50% of your tuition, as well as administrative and course manual fees.
CANDIDATE COMMITMENTSApplication / Pre-Training: Applicant's responses must be truthful and practical. You may be asked to submit up to 2 letters of reference if deemed necessary by Authentic Revolution team members. Candidates need to ensure their full availability for the duration of the training course selected. Successful candidate/s attending the course are subject to the same requirements and commitments of his/her fellow participants within the training program applied for. Scholarship recipients may be asked to contribute to the training in different ways, to be discussed with the course supervisor. For example, you may be asked to bring snacks, do shopping, or prepare food during break times. Such responsibilities will be requested only when they do not interfere with your training.
End of training: If post-training commitments have been decided upon as part of applicant's scholarship trade, a one-on-one sit down with the candidate will be scheduled to discuss and create an action plan for the Post-Training Commitments.
POST-TRAINING COMMITMENT POSSIBILITIES1) Pass it On - Upon successful graduation from the teacher training program, if this option has been decided upon, the candidate commits to: Teach or facilitate a minimum of 2 free classes, events or workshops, ideally with their local community. Provide a written testimony of the classes, workshops, or events and teaching/facilitation as well as feedback on when the event took place, the focus of the event, how many attended and how they seemed impacted as well as how scholarshipped individual was impacted. This is both for your records, for us to see our own impact and stay inspired, and to help us improve our future courses!
2) Work Trade - If you have skills such as marketing, social media, film/photography, or web design that could be helpful to furthering our mission in the world, we may choose to offer you a partial or full scholarship in exchange for your help.
POST-TRAINING SUPPORT
AuthRev will provide post-training support to track and enact these commitments. Mentoring may be available and will be discussed individually.
BENEFITS
Aside from the obvious benefits of getting a scholarship grant (!) the post-training teaching commitments allow the candidate to start applying Authentic Relating/Circling into their life soon after the completion of their training program, and to have support in doing so. The successful candidate gives back to the community, develops familiarity and ease in teaching, and gets to test out authentic relating practices in relation to a particular group over an extended period - an observation and refinement process highly beneficial in learning to become a good facilitator. Also, you will gain teaching experience that will aid in all areas of leadership and personal development. The benefits to this scheme are multifold. It can be a win-win for everyone.
NEXT STEPS
Prospective scholarship recipients may be contacted to either provide additional information or to arrange for a video call.
Scholarship decisions will be made three weeks out (March 24) from the training, to allow as many applications as possible to be considered, so that we can allocate scholarships funds in the most effective manner possible. It is our hope that this is enough time to make any necessary travel plans to attend the training. Occasionally a scholarship becomes available at the last minute.
The successful candidate(s) will receive a confirmation email on their
scholarship award and will be formally enrolled into the training
program.
