ATTENTION!!  As of July 2nd the Stewardship Program has reached full capacity.  Any applications received will be placed on a waiting list and receive a newer version of our program.  If a spot(s) opens up attention will be given to those individuals who signed up earliest.  

Welcome to Solar Youth’s Summer 2020 Program: Back to the Future!

This season will happen from July 6, 2020 - August 7, 2020 at both of our West Rock and Eastview Terrace sites.

Our Weekly Schedule
M-Th: 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

We understand the public health concerns about gathering in person, so we will instead offer our version of the Camp-In-A-Box experience, which will include activities on environmental exploration, mindfulness, arts & crafts, DIY projects, & more! We will also have virtual meet-ups & parties, mentorship, and food options for families.

Enrolled youth will need access to 1) email, 2) computer & WiFi, 3) Zoom & Netflix account, 4) phone or video camera to fully participate in our program. Please let us know if you need support in accessing these technologies in the application below. We look forward to seeing you soon!!

Our virtual hangouts will take place on Zoom, and we will share a Google Calendar with you and your child to know when our meetings are.  Does your child(ren) have an email address?  If so, Please list below.  If not, let us know when you will be able to create one by July 3rd. *
A significant part of our program will be done virtually.  Does your child have access to a computer/laptop?  If not, please let us know if you are in need below, we can reach out to our partners for support. *

We would like to host Netflix parties during our program season.  The easiest way to do this to to use Google Chrome, as Google has a Netflix app that can allow us to all watch a movie at the same time.  Do you have access to Google Chrome and a Netflix account? *

On Tuesdays and Thursday, we will make our in-person program optional.  Our Youth Engagement Interns will lead "pods," or groups of 5-6 children to do the day's activities together.  Would you like to include your child on the list for those who are participating in pods? We'll also potentially host events optional in-person as well. *
