Editor-in-Chief Job Description
Supervises and manages all staff members
Attends all staff meetings and editorial board meetings
Leads critiques of previous papers
Enforces goals and deadlines
Assists section editors in all aspects concerning content and appearance, including design and production
Focuses on checking/editing the details of the page, including photos, graphics, articles and columns
Reads and approves (or vetoes) based on quality and morality (obscenity), all material for publication
Gives final approval of all pages before they are sent to the printer, with a focus on the constancy and appearance of the whole paper
Manages The Flash website
Including new content, comments, layout
Deals with inappropriate comments
Helps to write editorials
Sits on Editorial Board
Reviews pieces for morality when ombudsman cannot
Reviews potential ads
Selects and leads a management team, including section editors
Serves as the official spokesperson for the staff
Is responsible for all content in the paper and website and Bobcast and social media
Is responsible for publishing written correction of all paper errors
Approves all financial expenditures and payments
Maintains constant communication with Associate Editor and other Editors
