Are you an ally? Have you seen someone else be an ally? When, how and in what field? OZY is doing a deep dive in this topic. To be an ally, it means standing up against inequities in any given area. Maybe it's in health or maybe education, maybe it's the criminal justice system. In any case allyship is the active demonstration of resisting the lure of perpetuating the status quo. Instead, an ally focuses on transforming the space where one has privilege to expand opportunities for those who are lacking. Anyone from any group with privilege can be an ally. Tell us about yourself or someone you know and how they have demonstrated allyship in any area. We look forward to hearing from you.
