Bushy Run Battlefield - Summer History Club
This years Bushy Run Battlefield Summer History Club will begin June 19th. The activity boxes can be picked up at the Bushy Run Battlefield Museum. The boxes will include the activity for that week as well as directions and a link for a YouTube video discussing that weeks activity.

Pre-registration and Pre-payment is required, each session is $5.00 or $20.00 for all 4 sessions. Session dates will be June 19, July 10, July 24, and August 7th.

Does your child wish to take part in Session 1 - Three Sisters - Education about how local Native American groups grew their crops? (Pick-up June 19th)

Does your child wish to take part in Session 2 - Witness Tree/ T-shirts. This session will be about the Witness Tree at Bushy Run Battlefield, a witness tree is a tree that was present at a historical event and shows scars or damage from the battle. This week each child will also get a chance to design and create their own T-shirt. (Pick-up July 10th)

Does your child wish to take part in Session 3- Soldiers - The discussion will be about soldiers in the 18th century and the child will paint their own soldier. (Pick-up July 24th)

Does your child wish to take part in Session 4 - Gorget - The child will learn about the Gorget, an item British and French officers would wear, and an item that was often traded with Native Americans. The Child will be able to create their own Gorget. (Pick-up August 7th)
