What this space is:

This group is open to Chicago Public Schools leaders. It is a no-cost opportunity for Principals and Assistant Principals to receive mental and emotional support in a small, therapeutic setting with their peers. Participants can expect to engage in conversations and exercises that will improve their ability to cope with and respond to the challenges and successes that come with leading a school community. Group will be offered monthly at The Chicago Public Education Fund. The first 15 folks to register each month will be able to participate. Group Therapy for CPS Leaders will be facilitated by a licensed social worker and all information shared in this space will remain confidential.

Light breakfast, coffee, and parking passes will be provided at each space!

About the Clinician:

Erinn's initial interest in educator mental health began while working for CPS as a Social Worker & SEL Lead. She noticed staff experiencing high levels of compassion and high levels of exhaustion simultaneously, at times she even noticed it within herself. CPS Principals and Assistant Principals are asked daily to show up for their students and staff, but showing up for themselves may be difficult to prioritize when the needs of the job can be overwhelming. This group is designed to be a restorative way for educators to stay grounded, connected and refreshed throughout the school year.

The Fund is not a healthcare provider. All information collected is confidential and will only be used to allow access to The Fund offices. Session discussions will be kept confidential between licensed counseling professionals and participants of the group.
