A formal (and free) application to apply to be a "Member of The Haven Charitable Organisation." As a member you are simply pledging your support to our organisation to help achieve our charitable aims:
The prevention or relief of poverty through supporting sustainable provision of affordable healthy food to people living in Kincardine and Mearns surrounding areas, primarily those with a low income.
The advancement of health by providing activities to improve physical and mental health and well-being of individuals and groups in the community through indoor and outdoor activities.
Advancement of education through the provision of classes, advice and
information about food and nutrition, food growing, cooking skills and
self-care.
Advancement of community development and promotion of volunteering
opportunities particularly for those who are isolated or marginalised.
Advancement of environmental protection by promoting the reduction of food
waste and by raising public awareness of the adverse environmental impacts of waste.
Our vision is for flourishing communities where everyone feels supported, included and belongs.
We achieve this through our community food larder, wellbeing space and teaching garden.
