Ryan's Helium Hotspot Hosting Interest Survey
Let's make some passive income together while disrupting traditional telecommunications business models and maybe even fiat currency!

This qualifies as fun in 2021, right?  If you think so, this survey is intended to help me determine whether specific locations you suggest may currently be a good fit for hosting a Helium hotspot.

I've hosted three hotspots with friends in The Triangle since April, you can see their earnings here: https://explorer.helium.com/accounts/14b3zTWdeiYueJx6vuyC9UVJBrvx2FX3Y5sGqJTc44yJFCi7JTo

I'm getting another hotspot soon, and several more between now and July (whenever the manufacturers ship them), so I'm looking for additional locations to host hotspots.

I'm splitting the *net* (after-tax) hotspot earnings per calendar month with each host as follows:

25/75 for the first 250 HNT earned, or 40/60 if you allow me to install a rooftop antenna and mast.
40/60 for 250 - 500 HNT
50/50 for all HNT earned over 500

If you decide to (proficiently) install a rooftop antenna and mast at your location on your own, the proposed split is 50/50 for *all* HNT earned by the hotspot.  I can help you order the parts and find instructions, if you're interested in doing this.

If you refer a friend to whom I'm not connected on Facebook and I place a hotspot with them, you'll receive 10% of the net HNT earned by that hotspot for the first six months.

The current market value of HNT can be found here: https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/helium

I'm happy to answer any of your related questions, refer you to informational resources, and even tell you how to procure a Helium hotspot and host one on your own, though I prefer to do this at a scheduled meeting, either in person or over voice/video chat.

Please provide answers to as many (or few) items below as you'd like.  Note that there are only three required fields on the survey, but your response will be to me more useful to me for each additional item you opt to complete.

Location Information
The location address (or approximate geolocation) is the only required field below this point.  However, I will be more likely to prioritize locations for which more information is provided.

Address (or Approximate Geolocation) *
The full street address where the hotspot will be hosted.  If you prefer to keep the street address private, you can instead provide GPS coordinates within about 400m of the address (ex. 35.7627932, -78.7118582).  If you want to show off your elite geolocation coding skills, I'll also accept an H3 index at resolution 8 (a 64-bit hexadecimal string per https://github.com/uber/h3-js.  ex. 882ad69969fffff), with an appreciative chuckle.
Location Description
A brief description of the type of location.  Some example: "two story home", "three story townhome", "5th floor apartment", "3rd floor business office", etc.
Rented or Owned
Is the residence at this address rented or owned by you or your referral?  If it is owned by you or your referral but rented by a third-party tenant, please include that information.
Starting Date
What is the earliest date this location is available to host a hotspot?

Ending Date
By when would i need to remove the hotspot (and any antenna/mast installation I am allowed to install) from this location?

Roof Access
Will one of us have access to a roof upon which we may install an antenna and mast, at this location?  Note that FCC rule FCC-21-10 prohibits any state, local, or private entity (such as an HOA or landlord) from interfering with or unreasonably delaying the installation of an antenna by the owner or leaseholder of the property (https://www.fcc.gov/document/fcc-modernizes-siting-rule-small-hub-and-relay-wireless-antennas).
Attic Access
Will one of us have access to an attic with a power outlet for the hotspot, at this location?
Elevation (in feet or meters)
The approximate ground-level elevation at this location.  Higher elevations are more desirable.  Please use this web site to determine the ground elevation at a given address: https://latlongdata.com/elevation/
Altitude (in feet or meters)
An estimate of the highest altitude (above ground) of where the hotspot might reasonably be placed at this address.  Assume a typical 2nd story ceiling is approximately 6 to 7 meters above ground.
Number of Nearby Hotspots (Res 6)
Use https://app.hotspotrf.com/map/ to determine the number of hotspots in the same hexagon as this location.  Go to Map Options (on the left) and select "Res 6" for the Hexagonal Resolution.  Locations with fewer than 4 or more than 100 hotspots within the same resolution 6 hexagon may not be good candidates.  Desirable target is 25 hotspots.
Number of Nearby Hotspots (Res 7)
Use https://app.hotspotrf.com/map/ to determine the number of hotspots in the same hexagon as this location.  Go to Map Options (on the left) and select "Res 7" for the Hexagonal Resolution.  Locations with 20 or more hotspots within the same resolution 7 hexagon may not be good candidates.  Desirable target is 5 hotspots.
Number of Nearby Hotspots (Res 8)
Use https://app.hotspotrf.com/map/ to determine the number of hotspots in the same hexagon as this location.  Go to Map Options (on the left) and select "Res 8" for the Hexagonal Resolution.  Locations with 4 or more hotspots within the same resolution 8 hexagon may not be good candidates.  Desirable target is 1 hotspot.
How much advance notice would typically be needed for me to place, access, or retrieve a hotspot at this location?
How knowledgeable are you (or your referral) about Helium and/or cryptocurrency?
