Common, traditional forms of scholarly output such as journal articles and books have fairly common, standard terms and conditions in the publishing contracts associated with them. But what about newer forms of scholarship, such as expansive, open access digital projects that may not have a definitive end? These projects have different workflows and outputs and are usually not sold or distributed as other scholarly works are. Attend this workshop to gain an understanding of how these differences will lead to publishing contracts that look quite different from what you may have seen before. We will look at a model publishing contract for digital projects as well as example contracts from real projects.
