We are excited to announce the opening of the Community Partner recruitment for the Second Cohort of the #CaliforniansforAll College Corps program! College Corps at Cal Poly Humboldt and College of the Redwoods is committed to providing meaningful service opportunities for full-time students.

Community Partners must have the time, staff, and supervisory capacity to direct projects, supervise Fellows, and provide necessary administrative support and evaluation data to ensure that goals and objectives are achieved. In exchange, Community Partners will receive a monetary stipend per fellow based on fellow success and completion in the program.

We are inviting Community Partners from the first cohort to reapply if interested. We are also seeking applications for new Community Partners. Community Partners will be required to attend a Matching Fair on Friday, April 28, 2023 from 3-7pm (Cal Poly Humboldt Campus) during which they will introduce their site and network with incoming Cohort 2 Fellows.

Community Partner Applications for Cohort 2 are due by March 20, 2023.

Below are the eligibility requirements for the College Corps Fellowship program. Please check each box as an affirmation of your understanding. If you have questions about any assertion below, please contact collegecorps@humboldt.edu for clarification, before you check the box. *

College Corps Fellows are full-time students and their schedules, therefore, have limited flexibility.

Fellows must be provided with at least 12-15 hours per week of meaningful and relevant service that teaches new skills and allows students to connect and network with community members.

Over half of service must be in person.

Site Supervisors must monitor service hours for each Fellow and communicate with Fellows and CC staff in a timely manner if Fellows are not meeting their service requirements or issues arise.

A Site Supervisor must be identified, and must be available to Fellows for weekly supervision as well as regular support.

Our organization is dedicated to the mission of the College Corps Program, and to providing Fellows with meaningful and well directed service experience.

College Corps Fellows cannot take the place of paid staff.

On-line work must be purposeful and necessary.

Our organization understands that Fellows need support and service to complete 450 hours by May 31, 2024.

Fellow supervisors at our organization will meet with each of their placed fellows and supervisor weekly to check in and build community.
