BSCAdventures MOUNT SAN JACINTO Hike Sign Up
Complete the SIGN UP form to sign up for the BSCA sponsored Adventure Hike at the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway/Mount San Jacinto State Park on April 20, 2024.
The BSC is sponsoring a day long adventure for all BSC members and their families. The daylong adventure includes a ride up the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway
Home – Palm Springs Aerial Tramway (pstramway.com) , lunch at the tramway restaurant on top and a day exploring the Mount San Jacinto State Park
Mount San Jacinto SP (ca.gov) We are carpooling to and from the start using the club's carpool organization
Signing up for this adventure indicates that you are ready to drive/carpool starting early in the morning (about 6 AM) Saturday 20 April 2024, ride the Aerial Tramway to the upper landing at 8500 ft elevation, explore the many trails starting at the top of the tramway, have a club sponsored lunch at the Pines Cafe, return to the tramway base station and carpool home late in the afternoon. As usual, pets and guide dogs are not invited on this wilderness adventure.
To fully enjoy this wilderness adventure, it is recommended that BVI members and their families participate in one or more of our scheduled calendar hikes or unscheduled pop-up hikes prior to this event. Hiking in rough terrain is a skill that takes time to master for both the BVI participant as well as the guides. Knowing the basics before this event will eliminate many problems that may be encountered on the trail.
If you can't participate in any of the hikes prior to this event, be aware that your skill level may not allow you to stay up with one of our more advanced groups. In that case, you can still enjoy your visit in and around the upper Mountain Station at the top of the tram. For those with family members who cannot hike, the Mountain Station is fully accessible from the top of the tramway and has a great deck area to enjoy the views and relax.
