Dear Colleague,

The Iowa Council of Teachers of Mathematics (ICTM) is hosting our annual conference on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at DMACC, Ankeny Campus.

The theme of the conference is "Empower Teaching & Learning", with keynote speaker Deborah Peart, Founder of My Mathematical Mind & a lead writer of K-5 Illustrative Mathematics.  We will also have 2 featured speakers: Jennifer Bay-Williams, Math Teacher Educator, University of Louisville and Ji-Yeong I, Math Teacher Educator, Iowa State University.

The strands for the conference program are: Number Sense, Integrating Technology and Innovation, Equity & Access, The 8 Effective Teaching Practices, Intervention/MTSS, and Instructional Coaching/Leadership.

We are accepting speaker proposals through June 15, 2023.  By submitting a proposal to present at the conference, you join a network of math educators dedicated to sharing knowledge and experiences to better math education for all students in Iowa.  Please consider being part of this network and presenting at the conference.
