Hello Everyone,

My name is Leonardo Jo, a 5th year PhD Candidate at the Plant Biology Graduate Group at UC DAVIS,
I'm currently a Professors for the Future Fellow (PFTF)  (https://grad.ucdavis.edu/professional-development/professors-future/projects/fellows-2018-2019), and I would like to ask for your contribution.

A recent article published in the Nature Biotechnology Journal reported a growing concern about graduate students mental health (https://www.nature.com/articles/nbt.4089). This research observed a high prevalence of anxiety and depression in a diverse graduate student sample. It was also highlighted in the article the importance to identify common areas of stress that affects the well-being of graduate students from distinct backgrounds. Understanding potential stress related sources will allow us to create strategies to promote campus cultural changes and enhance access to mental health support in our university.

The main goal of this survey is to (1) assess the general mental health status of graduate students at UC Davis, (2) identify common stress-related sources, and (3) assess perception and knowledge of on-campus counseling resources.
The overall results of the survey will be discussed with members of Student Health and Counseling Services (SHCS), the Office of Graduate Studies, and Services for International Students and Scholars (SISS). The goal of the discussion sessions will be directed to increase awareness of graduate students’ mental health and to develop educational strategies to reduce the stigma surrounding counseling services.

I would very much appreciate if you could take the time to fill this survey. It won't take more than 5-8 minutes.
After submitting the survey you will have an option to enter a raffle to win 1 of 5 gift cards from Amazon ($50).
