This course will provide students with the skills, knowledge, and competencies required for safely handling culinary cannabis and edibles, culminating in an exam to earn an ACF/CUNY Certificate in Culinary Cannabis and Edibles.
Students will also hear from guest speakers and attend workshops on cannabis equity and advocacy, the history of cannabis, networking in the cannabis industry, and job readiness.
Participants must be 21+, interested in pursuing a career in culinary cannabis, and able to demonstrate 8th-grade level Math and English-language capabilities, either by providing a high-school diploma or equivalency or by taking assessment exams.
All students are expected to attend class via Zoom and to have stable, reliable internet and computer access (a cell phone will not allow participants to view and partake in all class materials).
