This is open to singers aged between 16 and 24 years of age. Singing with the JIS, which is a multi-generational choir, provides a good opportunity for singers to develop their skills, learn the craft of concert preparation and performance, whilst being supported by our team of three professional musicians. Through the generosity of the Co-operative Community Fund, we are able to provide bursaries to support music lessons for our newer singers. Applications include a request for a reference, providing details of your musical experience and will involve an interview with one of our music leaders. 

Applications are invited from singers who have served for a term. All applications will be acknowledged within 4 days of being submitted, the applications are considered 4 times a year: September, December, March, June.

The funding is for one year and can be renewed for a second year following review by singer and choir.
