The Language Workshop at Indiana University, the Slavic Reference Service, and the Russian, East European, and Eurasian Center at the University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign) are hosting an online discussion series -
Research and Language Learning.
We are inviting established scholars to discuss the role language
proficiency plays in research, with examples from their own scholarly work. The
initiative will be launch with the Turkic languages of Kazakh, Kyrgyz,
Turkish, Uyghur, and Uzbek. We welcome language learners of all academic backgrounds to participate in these discussions.
