COVID precautions and Worship in the Spring and Summer of 2023
We have been living into our current COVID policy for about 6 months now, and the vestry would like to check in with the congregation's ongoing preferences about worship and our COVID policy. You can find the current COVID policy here: https://www.saintclareschurch.org/covid  If you prefer to give feedback in a more direct way, you are more than welcome to reach out to Rev. Anne or a member of the vestry.

Our current policy requires masks in Sunday worship when there are greater than 50 weekly cases per 100,000 people in Washtenaw County. (For reference, cases hovered just above this threshold for most of February; as of 3/21/23 they are a bit higher at 79 weekly cases per 100,000.) If and when cases dipped below 50, masks would be optional in worship. Which of the following statements describes your perspective best?

How do you feel about the policies for eating together? (Under our current policy, at our current level of cases: eating is allowed but people are encouraged to put their masks back on after eating, and a separate mask-only space is always available.)

If our masking policy became less restrictive (worship became mask-optional), would this change how often you felt comfortable coming to worship onsite?

If masks become optional, would you feel more comfortable attending services if you could sit in a section of the Sanctuary reserved for those wearing masks?

The vestry would like to speak more with people who are particularly concerned about COVID safety to ensure that we are hearing from the people most affected by any policy change. If you'd be willing to talk more with a member of the vestry, please enter your name and email address.
