Stanford Athletic Cuts: Alumni Response
On July 8, 2020, Stanford Athletics announced that they will discontinue 11 of our varsity sports programs at the conclusion of the 2020-21 academic year: men’s and women’s fencing, field hockey, lightweight rowing, men’s rowing, co-ed and women’s sailing, squash, synchronized swimming, men’s volleyball and wrestling. We believe that this decision is short-sighted and their reasoning is opaque. This decision does not take into account the best interests of its student-athletes. We're here to try and help current and future student-athletes obtain the same opportunities we were able to have at Stanford. Please fill out this form if you are interested in joining our efforts.
