Nominate a Planned Project for the 2024 North American Agrivoltaics Awards
Please use the plan nomination form to nominate a dual-use solar project that has been planned, but not yet constructed, for the inaugural North American Agrivoltaics Awards (NAAA), to be awarded live on stage during a limited-ticket awards ceremony and reception during the 2024 Solar Farm Summit this summer in Chicago.

Nominated planned projects can be designed to take any form or focus on any function(s) within the basket of agrivoltaics or ecovoltaics benefits, but each individual project will be evaluated on a comprehensive basis that considers the total balance of its ambition, innovation, design, construction, function, performance, and impact(s). Beyond the individual excellence of the planned project's basket of agricultural and/or ecosystem services and solar energy benefits to be built in symbiosis, each nominated project will also be considered for its impact on innovation in the space, the local community, the environment, the economy, and the working knowledge powering the dual-use development renaissance.

Location Criteria
Nominated project plans must be located in North America to be considered, which includes Central America and Caribbean nations. And all works in the Pacific islands on lands and in territories in political comity with North American countries are also eligible for consideration.

Submitted Plans Only - No Operating Projects or Solar Farms
Nominated project plans must be formally submitted to one or more regulatory authority, utility and/or RTO to be considered. Built and operating solar farms will not be considered. Should a selected finalist receive permit awards and proceed to immediate construction, it will not lose eligibility.

Have a Design Idea, Innovation, or Project Concept?
While the NAAA Project Plan Category is limited to formal and final project plans, you may submit a new project concept, innovation, design idea, research paper, presentation, artwork, infographic or other display work to be displayed in the official Poster Gallery at the 2024 Solar Farm Summit. Learn more and submit here >>

Selection, Evaluation & Voting
Following open nominations, the committee will collect, evaluate and select a group of finalists. These finalists will be announced publicly and an open vote will begin. When the voting period concludes, the final tally will be computed with votes from each committee member to select the winners. In the event of a tie, the public vote will decide the winner.

Making a Nomination
Anyone may make a nomination of any planned project, or their own project. And anyone may submit multiple nominations.

Making Great Nominations
Please fill out all the info below with as much relevant detail necessary to make your case. Everything you include will be considered, and your written narrative has the opportunity to make the largest impact, but it is not necessary to write everything into words. We encourage you to speak from the heart, but do keep in mind that brevity is the heart of wit. Your narrative or a portion thereof may be used during the campaign, in print or on stage, but please also note that is not an essay content, in the interests of your time and ours.

Citations, links, and other references are most welcome, which will bolster your narrative and greatly aid the committee's own independent evaluation.
