Shaw Neighborhood Private Camera Registration
Please complete this short form if you wish to register your private camera(s) with the Shaw Neighborhood Ownership Model (Shaw NOM).  This registration is voluntary, and anyone can have their information removed upon request.

Note: An online database and a street map will include blocks that have cameras, but NOT any specific actual addresses, names, or any plotted physical locations.  If an incident occurs, the victim or their representative can check the general database to see if cameras are listed on any relevant blocks.  They can then contact the Shaw NOM to request that we check-with any relevant camera owners to see if their footage can be helpful in providing details related to that specific crime.  Also, the Shaw NOM, with permission, can send any useful footage to our local police.  Additionally, the Shaw NOM can see which blocks could benefit from additional private camera installations, and possibly work with those blocks to provide assistance.  Thank you for participating in this neighborhood safety initiative. Please contact the Shaw NOM with any questions regarding this initiative.

About the Shaw NOM
The Shaw NOM is a non-profit 501(c)(3) citizen led neighborhood outreach organization dedicated to crime reduction through public safety promotion and best practices, formed in August 2018.

In coordination with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office and other neighborhood NOMs, Shaw NOM volunteers are committed to reducing the ripple effect of crime and improving the quality of life in Shaw and surrounding neighborhoods.  The Shaw NOM has organized various efforts including a successful campaign against celebratory gunfire in Shaw; and a community meeting regarding a proposed “Ceasefire” project across the city of St. Louis. In addition to working with city officials, the Shaw NOM has collaborated with other organizations including the Tower Grove East NOM, the Tower Grove Heights NOM, Princeton Heights Neighborhood Association, and the Benton Park West Neighborhood Association.
