Write a YWP Participant Pep Talk!
Are you an experienced NaNo-er who learned the hard way what it takes to write a novel in a month? Your fellow writers want to hear from you!

We're looking for talented young people to write participant pep talks for publication on the Young Writers Program website this November. This is your chance to be inspiring (or hilarious), give advice, and motivate other writers to reach their creative dreams--and their word-count goals.

Fill out this form by Sunday, October 9 to submit a pep talk.

Check out last year's participant pep talks in Breaking News (https://ywp.nanowrimo.org/news - they're all called "Participant Pep Talk from [NAME]") to get a sense of what we're looking for, and be ready to give us a taste of the pep talk you would write in the last box on the form.

We'll publish your post under only your first name and last initial, though we would like to accompany it with a short bio and a head shot. Please make sure you discuss this with your parent/guardian first.

Good luck this November!

Write mini-pep talk! *
What advice would you give to a writer who feels stuck? Who gets overwhelmed by their word-count goal? Who thinks their story is terrible and decides they should just quit? Do you have any personal examples of struggle and success in November? In about 250 words, give us a taste of the pep talk you would write for other NaNoWriMo YWP participants. And remember, it's easy to encourage someone to "just keep writing!" We're looking for specific advice, fresh perspectives, or compelling personal stories. Good luck!
