Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival presents the first GMCMF Suzuki Institute (GMCMFSI) which offers Suzuki Teacher Training courses to anyone who qualifies to participate in the training (see if you qualify here). The teacher training courses will take place from Sunday, July 23 - 31, 2023, on the campus of Saint Michael’s College in Colchester, Vermont. Teacher trainees will have the opportunity to observe teaching during Unit trainings. The following courses will be offered:
Every Child Can: Instructor Kristin Jutras, July 23-24, $150
Violin Unit 1*: Instructor Kristin Jutras, July 24-31, $800
Violin Unit 3: Instructor Susan McDonald, July 24-28, $550

Participants can also elect to audit a course. Auditors pay the same fee for the course but do not have to complete the audition requirements. Auditors also are not required to complete the observations and won't have the 15-minute consultation with the teacher trainer.
GMCMFSI participants may elect to stay on the campus of Saint Michael's College during their teacher training at the cost of $95/night. This includes three meals each day at the on-campus dining hall. Participants are also welcome to find housing on their own and will have the option of eating lunch at the dining hall for $12/day.
If you would like to register for Suzuki Teacher Training, please fill out the form below. You MUST first check to be sure you qualify for Suzuki Teacher Training (see if you qualify here). Note that this includes sending an audition video to SAA at least 14 days before the start of the course and paying an audition processing fee and membership fee.
