All young adults (ages 18-40) are welcome to participate in the Young Adult Music Ministry at Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago, IL. This ministry will take place the
1st Sunday of every month (note sometimes this is moved to the 2nd Sunday, please note the date in the YA Newsletter!) at the 5:15pm Mass.
For interested musicians (flute, clarinet, oboe, violin, viola, cello, bass, etc), please RSVP here one week prior to the 1st Sunday of the month so we can distribute music to you to practice. For choir members, we would greatly appreciate if you can sign up here prior to Mass, but we will also welcome you if you just show to to rehearsal prior to Mass without signing up.
Only can attend one week? No problem! We have designed this ministry so people are able to attend when they are able.
We will have all musicians meet at 4:30pm at Holy Name Cathedral in the Music Office for rehearsal. For choir members, please arrive by 4:45pm for rehearsal. The Music Office rehearsal location is in the building immediately north of the cathedral, noted in the picture below.
Following Mass, there will be a Young Adult social in the Club Room, located in the lower level of the Francis Xavier Warde School directly north of the Cathedral (can take the stairs or elevator down one floor)
