Amplify Writers is a newly launched project that aims to support the career development of writers with lived experiences, identities, and backgrounds that are underrepresented in mainstream publishing. In order to develop programs that meet the needs and leverage the assets of our writing community, we are planning to create and share widely a detailed survey with questions exploring writers' previous experiences with career development, preferred means of access, existing barriers to access, etc.

The few open-ended questions below are intended to help guide the design of this longer survey. We are also conducting zoom interviews with stakeholders within our local literary community of Portland, Oregon prior to developing our survey.
