OVMRC Eyeball QSO and Picnic
This is the invite and sign-up for the OVMRC Eyeball QSO and Picnic with optional POTA activation and Foxhunt, to take place from 9.30 am to 2 pm on Saturday 26th August 2023 at Rockcliffe Park in Ottawa.

***   It's a POTA Picnic in the Park with purposefully placed foxes for your puzzling pleasure!   ***

Meet on the grassy area behind the Pavillion.  Since the Pavillion parking area is small and likely full, recommended parking is at P1 (free), further along the Rockcliffe Driveway (the road through the park).  It's about a 5 minute walk back to the Pavillion area.

Activities - To include eyeball QSOs with coffee and Timbits available from 9.30 am; a POTA activation of Rockcliffe Park and the Rockeries VE-1597 and a 2m band fox hunt.  The VE3JW call sign will be available for those wanting to participate in an OVMRC Club POTA activation.

Lunch - Bring your own picnic.

Don't forget - your lawn chair, portable radio gear for the POTA activation, any fox hunting kit you have (such as an HT, offset attenuator and directional antenna for 2m) or you can borrow our top notch ARDF gear.

Talk-in - VE3OCE 146.880/146.280 MHz, 136.5 Hz CTSS and VE2CRA, 146.940/146.340 MHz, 100Hz CTCSS will be monitored.

Beacon - A high power (5W) Beacon will be active on 147.570 MHz FM - let us know the location where you first received the beacon signal!
