2023 MADISYN BALDWIN WESTERN MICHIGAN UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP
The MADISYN BALDWIN MEMORIAL grant was established to honor the memory of Madisyn Baldwin who, in
2021, was tragically killed when a classmate opened fire at Oxford High School. Madisyn was planning to apply to and attend Western Michigan University to pursue a degree in Neuroscience. Each year two $1,500.00 scholarships will be awarded to two promising students who are pursuing a degree in the ARTS, MENTAL HEALTH, OR SPECIAL EDUCATION at Western Michigan University. All areas near and dear to the Baldwin family. To be considered for the grant, applicants may be attending any public, private or parochial school in Michigan. Awarding of the Madisyn Baldwin Memorial Grant is contingent on several criteria including acceptance to and enrollment at Western Michigan University, financial need, and a complete application. Additionally, applicants are required to submit an essay demonstrating their passion to create a better world. Scholarship recipients are expected to use their resources wisely and uphold a high standard of conduct. The Madisyn Baldwin Memorial Grant award is an outright grant. Although recipients are under no obligation to make repayment, it is hoped that once graduated and engaged in a productive career they will help honor the memory of Madisyn by giving future students a similar financial opportunity.
