CCSD15 Senior Tax Exchange Program Application Form
The Senior Tax Exchange Program allows senior citizen homeowners (age 55 and older) within District 15 boundaries to work in one of our schools in order to offset their property tax bill paid to the District. The maximum amount a senior can earn is capped at the total amount of real estate taxes paid to School District 15.

No special skills are required, just the desire to work with students from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. This is a unique opportunity for senior residents to make a contribution to the educational development of the children within our community. All participants are required to participate in the District’s background check process as well as a recent physical indicating that they have the ability to participate in the normal school environment. For example, participants need to be able to speak, hear, exchange information, stand, walk, bend at the waist, and lift up to 10 lbs. Our participants will spend time in the library where these skills will be necessary.

Senior Tax Exchange Program employment:
I understand that Community Consolidated School District 15 is an equal opportunity employer. I have been informed that employment depends upon a suitable position being available and that a specific assignment can be made only after an interview with the principal, department head or supervisor. I also understand that the Senior Tax Exchange Program is designed so that I may work to receive compensation for the amount of the District 15 portion of my last year’s property tax bill. I understand that after my property tax bill compensation amount is reached, the school district will no longer compensate me for my services. At that time, if I wish to remain working for the school district, I will need district approval. If approval is granted, I understand that I will perform my services as an unpaid volunteer.
I have read and agree to the Senior Tax Exchange participants and Senior Tax Exchange employment statements (above).
Thank you very much for your interest in CCSD15's Senior Tax Exchange Program!
You will hear from our Human Resources department soon to set up a fingerprinting appointment. We look forward to partnering with you to make a difference in the lives of students.
