At HS, graphic designers help round out our editorial staff. They're primarily responsible for creating provoking and beautiful visuals to accompany our site content, social media, and print editions.

Our ideal candidate is creative and visually oriented as well as being technologically literate. They are very familiar with various social media platforms, are extremely organized, and excel in a fast-paced virtual environment. But, most importantly, they have a unique, powerful artistic style that is both experimental and vulnerable. If your work shows how much care and fun you feel for your craft, we’ll see that.

☆ Creating provoking and beautiful visuals to accompany site content, social media, and print editions
☆ Helping to layout our quarterly print editions in InDesign

☆ Familiarity with Photoshop, InDesign, Canva, or similar software
☆ Must meet deadlines and have strong prioritization & time management skills
☆ Familiarity with online magazine community and social media
☆ Positive and professional attitude
☆ Strong technical and verbal communication skills
