This workshop centers our love and grief for the natural
world. We will discuss a wide range of poems, spend time outdoors in
the Jackman Woods (weather permitting), and reflect on and write about
our own experiences with loss. After the prolonged isolation of the
pandemic, this workshop aims to bring participants together to remind us
that we are not alone. While honoring the sadness that inevitably
accompanies grief, we will also invite laughter, tenderness, and
transformation. This workshop is open to adults of all ages and
backgrounds -- no prior writing experience is needed.
The workshop will be capped at 10 people.
