Jeffco Public Schools District Advisory Committee Application 2023/24
We are seeking engaged Jeffco schools' parents, staff, business and community members to support the district and Board of Education by serving on board advisory committees. If you are interested in providing insight and advice to the Jeffco Board of Education through participation on an advisory committee, please complete this brief application form for one of the advisory committees. The application form will be open to the public March 13 - April 21, 2023

The Board of Education will review applications in May in order to appoint members in June. This will allow new members to begin committee work for the 2023/24 school year in August. Details on next steps will be shared with applicants by email.  

Committees with openings:

District Accountability Committee (DAC): As a district level accountability and advisory committee with parent representatives from all articulation areas including charter and option school parents, teachers, administrators, and at least one member from the business community, DAC members act in an advisory capacity on such topics as the district’s budget and unified improvement plan as provided by law. Capital Asset Advisory Committee (CAAC): The Capital Asset Advisory Committee monitors the planning of district capital needs and the implementation of capital programs. The time commitment is between two-five hours/month mornings/afternoons. 

Financial Oversight Committee: Supports the Board with citizen oversight by reviewing financial reports, the district's systems of internal controls regarding finance, accounting, legal compliance and ethics. The committee also assesses the business risk of the district, the accounting and financial reporting process and oversight of mill levy override (5A) expenditures.  For more details about this committee, please review the FOC website

Technology Data Privacy Advisory Committee (TDPAC): Created to advise on district technology strategies, systems and overall data governance, the committee reviews the district's technology plan considering alignment with instructional goals and opportunities for technology innovation. -Parents of current Jeffco Public Schools students
-Teachers employed by Jeffco Public Schools
-Individuals involved in business/businesses in the Jeffco Public Schools district boundary
-Community members without students attending Jeffco Public Schools
-School administrators employed by Jeffco Public Schools
-Central-based administrators employed by Jeffco Public Schools
