ARTfactory's Super Con: Artist Alley/Exhibitor Hall Vendor Application
Artist Alley Vendor - $50.00/ table

Artist Alley is the section of the exhibit hall for indie and mainstream comic creators, web-comic artists, professional writers/illustrators, and 2D artists. Artist Alley tables are for creators ONLY: Artists, Authors, Podcasters, and Creators and Crafters of Handmade Items.  Everything sold must be the work of the creator(s) at the table. If you’re selling mass- produced items, other than books, or are otherwise a retailer or publisher, you will need to apply as an Exhibitor. Approved Artist Alley vendors are required to bring a 6ft table, while the ARTfactory will provide two chairs per vendor. Displays cannot exceed 10 ft high and are restricted to on-table placement only - you cannot use the aisle, or space in front of, or behind your table, except for small signage Each table is for one Artist and up to one assistant - there can be no more than 2 people behind the table.

Exhibitor Hall Vendor - $75.00 / table

Exhibitor Hall vendors are for sales on the show floor spanning comics, movies, television, games, gadgets, books, and toys—a showcase of what’s exciting, what’s new, and what’s trending in pop culture. Items sold are not handmade.

Approved exhibitors are required to bring a 6ft table, while the ARTfactory will provide two chairs per vendor. Additional tables are available should an exhibit vendor wish to purchase more than one table. Vendor Rules & Qualifications

I. No real weapons of any kind may be sold. This includes but is not limited to steel replica swords, knives, throwing stars, or blades of any kind. Items such as pepper spray, tasers, or any projectile weapons such as crossbows, arrows, or blow guns are not allowed.

II. All materials on display must be kept to a PG-13 rating.

III. All creators and vendors must be 18 years old or older. An additional assistant may be under 18 but must be supervised at all times.

IV. Food and Beverage Sales are not approved for Super Con.

V. Banners and displays should not protrude from your space or exceed a height of 10 feet without prior management approval.

VI. Super Con is committed to supporting the best of comics and creators. As such, counterfeit items, bootlegs, knockoffs, or other pirated items are not welcome at our event. Exhibitors selling counterfeit items may be removed from the event, banned from future editions of Super Con, and risk criminal prosecution.

VII. Your table/booth area is required to stay set up for the entirety of the event - no breaking down or leaving during show hours.

VIII. Accepted creators and vendors are expected to be at their table during all open hours of Super Con. Tables must be staffed during all public hours by a minimum of one person. 

IX. Each Vendor/Artist receives 2 Exhibitor Wristbands per space.

X. Bring your own 6ft table, tablecloths, displays, and signage. You are free to personalize your space but must stay in your designated area. 

XI. Electric access may be subject to availability at the venue and may incur an additional fee.

XII. No subletting or sharing your table of any kind.

Vendor Policies

CERTIFICATE OF LIABILITY OF INSURANCE

A Certificate of Liability Insurance is required to participate at Super Con for all exhibitors in our exhibit hall and artists in Artist Alley. All exhibitors and artists will be required to submit their Certificates of Liability Insurance in advance of the event. Neither the ARTfactory, nor the City of Manassas, nor any of their officers, agents, employees, or contractors assume any responsibility for the theft, loss, or damage to an exhibitor or artist’s property. It is recommended exhibitors and artists consult their preferred insurance broker to obtain a policy to cover their display materials and merchandise during transit and onsite as well as general liability while onsite. General Liability Certificate must also indemnify ARTfactory, and the City of Manassas as additional insureds. Further insurance information, including affordable options and submission information, will be included in acceptance emails.

BOOTLEG POLICY

We want to celebrate fans of comics, anime, and manga and their artistry, and we encourage original prints, comics, etc, but mass-produced fan works, or fan works that use or are based on licensed, copyrighted material (including character art, background art, logos, etc) fall under our bootleg policy and are prohibited. Do not create buttons, pins, bags, key chains, T-Shirts, etc. with official art or any art that isn’t yours. Don’t trace, copy, or place Photoshop filters over someone else’s work and call it your own. If you display fan art which doesn’t follow this guide, you may be asked to remove it from display by the Super Con team or risk being removed from Artist Alley without refund.

PLACEMENT

All table and booth placements are made in order of payments received.

ELECTRICAL

Power is not included with your table or booth. You can purchase power through the ARTfactory for an additional $10.00.

REFUND POLICY

If you need to cancel for any reason, we will issue you a 50% refund, less any applicable merchant fees.

LOAD-IN

All exhibitors are required to load in to the ARTfactory between 8:00 AM and 9:15AM with displays ready by 9:45 AM on April, 27 2024 at the ARTfactory located at 9419 Battle Street, Manassas, VA. 20110.

LATE EXHIBITORS

Any exhibitor who has not arrived by 9:30 AM on April 27, 2024, will forfeit their table and will not be eligible for a refund.

WRISTBANDS

Exhibitors are required to wear an exhibitor wristband at all times during the show hours. These are only for your own assistants, not for the general public. Any passes needed beyond that will need to be purchased at the box office at regular price.

LOAD-OUT

All areas must be clean of debris, or you will be subject to a cleanup charge of $75 with the credit card listed on file. Do not leave any trash behind. Any damages made to the building will be subject to penalty. Exhibitors must break-down at 5:00PM and should be out of the building by 6:00 PM.
