This is a survey to collect parent input on the upcoming school (23-24) year's backpack policy. This policy would prohibit backpacks in the classroom with exceptions for students with IEP, 504, or medical accommodations that require backpacks. Concerns have been brought in regard to school safety. The proposed policy would require students to keep their supplies for school in their lockers to keep the backpacks out of the classroom for the following safety reasons: weapons, drugs/vapes, and tripping hazards in the classroom.
