WIWIP (Women in War and International Politics) is a department-led initiative at King's College London within the Faculty of Social Science and Public Policy (SSPP). It serves to foster connections among individuals whose gender identity intersects with womanhood in various capacities within the fields of War Studies and International Politics. WIWIP actively promotes the exploration of gender-related aspects in war, conflict, foreign policy, and security practices. Operating within established Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (ED&I) frameworks, WIWIP is committed to eradicating structural inequalities, striving for fairness, and creating an inclusive environment for both staff and students. Its mission encompasses raising awareness, showcasing achievements, providing support, offering a safe space for discussion, and advocating for gender diversity within academic settings. WIWIP welcomes everyone who wants to contribute to its aims.  We arrange exciting  events and panels to discuss on current and critical events that defines our mission. We also actively publish blogs which offers an amazing opportunity for engaging in academic discussions about issues related to war and gender.
