Background:
Social Issues’ Solutions Club - SISC was established on October 8th, 2017 by a team of high school students who are interested in volunteering and making societal impact. We believe that by providing a platform for people to express their ideas and creativity, we could make a difference in the way we are living and be part of positive changes.
With many interests in the concept of Social Issues’ Solutions Club, it is a pleasure for us to introduce SISC club in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap and we hope you will join us there!
Mission and Vision:
Social Issues’ Solutions Club aimed at gathering youth to discuss and think creatively in order to find solutions to build a better future community.
We believe in each and individual potential of youth and we hope, by bring together future leaders and change makers, we can tackle problems we are facing and build the community we want to live in. Along the way, we want the club to be the platform where everyone can develop themselves in leadership skills and communication as well as inspire all individuals to divide their focus not only on their academic, but also on social issues and involve in social work and volunteering.
There are 3 parts to the membership to the 2024 Cohort:
Part 1: The membership includes SISC WORKSHOP, a fully funded 3-day immersive experience in Siem Reap. Engage in sessions focusing on self-identity, team building, project planning, project management, and the innovative concepts of design thinking. Experience firsthand the local community's challenges by visiting projects, aiming to understand the root causes of social issues.
Part 2: You will have the opportunity to intern with Local NGOs and SISC’s partner projects, enhancing your project management and planning skills.
Part 3: After the training and guidance, you will get the chance to launch your very own impact project with support from SISC!

Eligibility:
1. Be a high school student
2. Currently living in (Banteay Meanchey, Siem Reap or Phnom Penh)
3. Interested in social work and volunteering.
